Our swim school returns for 2026 with a new instructor!

Ricky Pledger takes over our 2026 season:

"I am a Level 2 qualified swimming teacher with over 15 years of experience delivering high-quality swimming instruction. I began my journey teaching swimming to children from the primary school where I worked in Corby, supporting them in developing water confidence and achieving the required competency levels before leaving school.

After relocating to Lincolnshire, I expanded my work to support a wide range of schools, delivering swimming lessons to hundreds of children over recent years. My approach focuses not only on teaching essential swimming skills, but also on building confidence in and around the water in a safe and supportive environment.

In addition to lessons, I have organised and delivered school swimming galas, providing opportunities for pupils to participate in competitive events and represent their schools.

I have lived in Heckington for the past 12 years and regularly use the local community pool with my family during the summer months, further strengthening my connection to the local area.

Alongside my swimming coaching, I have extensive experience working within education across both primary and secondary settings. I have also supported children with special educational needs, as well as those who may be considered vulnerable or require additional understanding and guidance."
