Pool Admission Policy & Guidance

Version 2 | March 2026

Welcome to Heckington Community Swimming Pool!

We're glad you're here. To help everyone enjoy a safe, relaxing, and fun visit, we have a few helpful guidelines to share.

  • A Pool Volunteer with a current First Aid Certificate will be on hand at every session. They'll be looking after the snack bar and helping keep the poolside running smoothly.
  • While our volunteers are here to support you, parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their own children at all times.
  • Before you get in the water:
Please tie back long hair and remove jewellery that could get caught, such as hoop earrings, necklaces, or bracelets.
  • To help us keep our pool water clean and comfortable, we kindly ask that sunscreen or oils be applied at least 30 minutes before swimming.
  • Little ones who are not yet toilet trained must wear waterproof swim nappies - thank you for helping us keep the pool clean for everyone!
  • Photography:
To protect everyone's privacy, photography and video recording aren't allowed during public swim sessions.
For private hire parties, the party host may decide whether photos are permitted.
  • Keeping everyone safe:
Walk carefully - no running on poolside.
    Avoid jumping in or diving.
Refrain from pushing, splashing with woggles/floats, or sitting on shoulders.
Inflatables and pool toys may be used at private hire parties at the party host's discretion.
Final Reminder: For everyone's safety, no glass is permitted anywhere in the pool area.
