Pool Policies and Rules
Our formal Admissions Policies and Poolside Rules can be
viewed by clicking the duckling link buttons at the
bottom of this page, but Heckington Community Swimming
Pool Committee have also drawn up the following summary
list of attitude and behaviour expectations for all
people who attend the pool, either as swimmers or
spectators. These are aimed at ensuring the safety,
wellbeing and safe enjoyment of our pool and hope you
find this useful in guiding pool users.
Attitude and Behaviour expectations:
• Long hair to be safely tied up – boys and girls!
• No poolside running
• No jumping in
• No pushing
• no throwing anything – toys, objects from side or from
in the pool
• no ‘slapping’ with woggles or floats
• no sitting on shoulders in pool
• no inflatables or pool toys for community swim
sessions
• Inflatables and toys at the discretion of the duty
staff for private hires
• no eating at pool side or in pool – restrict to
marquee or other area away from poolside
• Jewellery restrictions – no hoop earrings, necklaces
or bracelets to be worn.
• No littering
• Private hire bookings to take rubbish away from site
at the end of their party.
